Yea... excellent work from all at Weta. You guys have been killing it since Heavenly Creatures. Much deserved but hardly a suprise as the VFX in TTT were of such a higher standard than anything else this year, or perhaps ever.... I just watched TTT again and the moment that Gollum pulls frodo out of the dead marshes.... well I won't go into it.... but yea... you all deserve this. Roll on the little gold bald guy ;).

And while we're on the subject of oscars may I personally state that if ROTK is up to the standards of films 1 & 2 and PJ doesn't win best director/best film next year I'm going to fire bomb the academy.
