I must be missing something.... is there an easy way to find out what my contraint targets are.

I select an object in the perp view.
I see it in the channel box.
I see the constraint listed under "Shapes"

but how can I quickly see what the constraint target is?

click on the output of the object labeled pointConstraint..... then scroll down a little in the channel box..... you will see... a list of attrs on the bottom..... that has....

nodeState..... normal
offsetX........... 0
offsetY........... 0
offsetZ........... 0
"target constraint here" "wieght of constrain here"

you can have multiple constraints on one object ie a shpere constrained to two locators you can adjust the value of the weight to make the shpere follow one or the other or both....

hope this helps..... :)

ahhhh..... I had the channel box set to "short" names.... which doesn't display the target name, only the "WO".

I still find it odd that it isn't listed in the Attribute Editor

It is in the Attribute Editor, under the "Extra Attributes" tab at the bottom.

Of course, the easiest way to find out the constraint targets for a given constraint is to select the constraint node in the hypergraph and hit "up and downstream connections." The target[n] inputs are the targets.
