Hello everyone,

My name Frank Tai from Indiana University School of Informatics, New Media program. I have a few questions about how to manage a 3D animated short and I will be appreciated if you could help me. I am currently working on my first animated short and here is a blog of the project. www.theroofers.blogspot.com (http://www.theroofers.blogspot.com/)

The name of the project is PACO and we have all the story, characters, scenes and props created. We are ready to animate this short. We have three people will work on the animation together and we are finding a way to manage this project. We are not certain about how to keep our animation style consistence. Since each of us will work on different shots and what is the best way to keep all shots flow when we put it all together. I don’t know if you have any good suggestion or tip about how to manage a group of people to animate the same short and everyone has the same scene of style when animate the characters. Do you have any recommended books or web site so we can find out more information and resources for animating a 3D animated short?

Thank you and I wish to hear from you.

Sincerely

one simple solution would be to split the main characters up between different animators. Give each animator a character to work with. That way the characters personality will be consistent throughout and each of the animators will bring a different style/personality to their character.

There is a book called "3D Short Film Production".

I pick it up atleast 1 or 2 times a week. It is awesome.

Check it out and good luck with your short :)
