My question is really simple. (but the solution is not for me)

How i can make a render of a light (point or spot,... ) i would like a lens and the origin of light in the render, but i can't find where to activate this.

Thank for help ahead

David.

Messiah doesn't do lense flares.

You will need to paint or generate something. . . put it on a polygon, parent that polygon to the light and create an expression that makes it always look at the camera if you REALLY need to do that.

DaVee,

Are you looking for a volume effect? or lense flare?

I should ahve make this quick and simple.
The pict Below is an idea of what i would like to do.

i hope this is possible and someone could help me§
Thanks ahead

Nope DaVee,

I still do not understanding what you require. If you are asking for a 'particle trail' effect like your image below, this is possible. Or are you asking for a projection effect? You mentioned “lens” in your earlier post, so are you asking to project light through that image?

Sorry, could you try and explain a bit more.

Thanks

Sorry i'm not so efficient for explainations.
The pictures i posted was taken with my camera, it's a long exposition shot of a green light.
So I would like to know if it's possible to do the same thing with Messiah (or an other 3D Software)
Whatelse example i still can give you?
Well, when a photo of a car moving is taken at night with a long exposition (1 sec., or more) lights makes trail on the pictures. That's what i would like to do.

I hope it is clear now.

Thanks for answers
David.

Its an effect that can be done by emitting a particle stream from an object that is moving around. The particles should not have any velocity or gravity applied to them. They are just like. . . a 3D mark in the sky. As you move the object around it leaves a trail.

sounds like you want to do a CCD burnout trail. I dont know of any renderer that will do that right out of the box, because it's a physical artifact, not a feature. wegg's suggestion will do nicely, if it's just the headlights or a specific overbright object. for a more authentic CCD burnout, you need to go post process. premiere or AfterFX had a nice plugin that let you smear multiple frames of a clip onto one frame like a motion trail. if you did that to a high key, high contrast render of your scene(just the lights in the frame), then added that back onto your original, you should get that CCD burn from the lights and any other overbright reflections/spec, etc..

Thanks all for advices, i try to do this with particle as you said, and result is almost what i want to do, but not exactly what i want.
Cause i want the trail to fade out (sure i still didn't explore all the possibilities of MessiahStudio, and i may comeback there to complete research!)
So i'll try something with the soft i use for compositing (Combustion). A link is posted in discreet forum,

Thanks for all.

You can make particles fade as they get older.

sorry for double :D

I try to fade particle as you said WEGG.
But, i have little trouble with. Let see pict below, as you can see there's some "streaks" that dirty trail. I don't know if i forgot something or if it's a bug.

I hope this is sufficient to understand the problem.

Thanks all.

Above is a quick example of particle shader flow which should help

Thanks rush123 i use the same node and link as you showed me. but "streaks" was still there,
then i erased particles effects, and add an other one. and guess what... it works!
So i don't know why streaks appeared, and i would have known why!
however, i can go to next part :)

Thanks all.

David.
