yes, you can import 3ds, but not .max

*.max is the proprietary file format of discreet 3DS Max, no other program is allowed to open this kind of files. *.3ds is the old 3D Studio file format, it's really popular and most 3D programs open this kind of file format (C4D too).

Yes, you can import .3ds just fine, :applause:
but I've found you really need to watch your normals, they can really get messed up.:annoyed:

everything is converted to triangles aswell, which can make adjusting a 3ds model in c4d a pain in the ass :annoyed:
