View Full Version : OGO_Taiki Renders(350k -2 images)

Figured I would put these up...

I took the Land7b sample scene...moved the camera a bit at frame 0 and did two renders. The only thing I changed between renders was the "Master Quality" setting - one at Ultra High, one at Ultra Low...
Render times:
Low AA 640x480 Ultra High 3h:23m
Low AA 640x480 Ultra Low 16m:23s

Everythign in this scene except for One directional light is generated by the lpugin.

I dont know why but the clouds don't look like they have volume. It looks almost like a skytracer sky. The water looks nice

The camera is low and looking directly into the sun - which is part of the reason the clouds look flat.

I posted a link to somone elses cloud animation yesterday taht will give you a better idea of what Taiki can do. Also - on the taik page there are 2 or 3 animations of this same scene with different lighting.

For my purposes, I was more interested in seeing how the quality effected render times. For what's it worth, the lower half of the scene was probably about 80% of the render time in both cases.
