Title: Tempest
Name: Chutaprutikorn Kulbongkot (Kay)
Country: United Kingdom
Software: Photoshop

Title is from a My Dying Bride(surprise, surprise) song from their latest album "A Line of Deathless Kings", although I have had this image in my mind before it was released

Influence: I am deeply fascinated by the Sublime painters/art movement, so I looked at quite a lot of Sublime genre paintings to get an idea for this picture.

A lot of these are new for me, for example I've never really paint any landscape to this scale, movement or dynamism before. So yeah, I am trying out new things.

The story behind this picture is that the figure in front is a sorceress wreaking havoc and destruction upon a ship. haha, nothing much here..or yes?

Painted in Photoshop 7

I think you managed the dynamics really well!

The colours are very nice, but I think more contrast would add a bolder mood. :)
The composition is evry good, especially on the background. I am not too sure about the character's cape as it seems a bit distracting like this, but it's nothing major.

Still a good work, congratulations. :)

Hello Ehsan! thanks for commenting, yes, you're right that it needs more contrast, plus stronger brushworks, but I will leave this picture for now, but will keep your advice in mind for my next painting :D

Marta: heya, wow I never thought you'll comment on my pieces. thanks a lot! :D

Very nice overall composition. I also like your color choice. Everything in the picture has a sense of motion. :)
