super newbe question

you can tap your space bar a few times and watch the bottom of your lightwave window (might be hidden behind your taskbar)... you will see some buttons changing according to your spacebar taps. the first one in the row of buttons moving horizontally across the bottom is 'points'... you can also just click on that button to switch to points mode ;)

splines are also editable by selecting the spline (will turn yellow) in polygon mode (next to 'points' button) and you can use the drag tool (cntrl+t) to drag individual points along that spline selection.
