Hey there....for a while now ive been thinking about pushing my 2d animation from paper to digital.....i know i need a graphics tablet, but which one?

I've had a look at the wacom range which ive heard are the best, but theyre a bit pricey for my budget. I just need suggestions/advice on which would be the best tablet techincally for the money.

I hope someone can help me!

Thanks for your time,
Waffle Monstah

I was happy with a long time with a Graphire 6x8. You mention that you're coming from paper. That makes me think that, based on the way I draw, a 4x5 might be too small.

I now use a 6x8 Intuos and it really is considerably better. I'm planning on buying a widescreen model soon actually.

But, before you drop the cash to buy the more sensitive tablet (with the more comfy pen), I'd buy the cheaper one, just to see if you like it. Plently of folks I know just don't dig on them.

Also, I'd recommend searching on a topic like this before posting. This has been discussed many times over.

Cheers.

If money is tight, hit ebay or craigslist for a 9x12 or 12x12 Intous 1 or 2 tablet. Still good. And can be purchased cheap.

Just make sure its USB and comes with a 'guaranteed working' pen (and maybe 4D mouse).

These auctions will be over by the time you read this, but see what I mean?
