ok, guys, what's going on here? this is wip of a lighthouse...i applied a quick diffuse to see if it helped but i'm still getting these wiered triangular artifacts...

for the record, this was started in lightwave and since brought into cinema...

btw, these artifacts aren't visible in the viewports...

is this radiosity or soft shadows? if it's soft shadows try increasing (or was it decreasing?) the map resolution

its workin' dude, thanks!!! it's a very large object 2300m x 1300m (approximate), so by tweaking those settings, its getting better...

Hey did DeathCarrot's advice work for you? If it did then great!

If not, you may want to double check your normals. That can happen sometimes when you import from other file formats.:D
