Time to show this wip here.

An ambitious illustration, final size will probably measure 50 x 38 inches at full print resolution. Currently it measures 16 x 29 iches.

This is a FICTIONAL pictorial narrative about Sino (Chinese) influence in Japanese history and should be taken as such; a work of fiction.

This work is digital from day one, using only photoshop on an aging Pentium 4 with Wacom Intuos 3 tablet.

At this point the final narrative is still an idea in mind and still open to changes in art direction.

It is based around 1,000 BC of Japan's historical timeline, when superhuman and supernatural intervention in the affairs of mortal humans were accepted as normal although terrifying to the common folk, having been ruled over by tyrannical and oft-cruel 'Sons of Heaven' that came from across the sea so long ago for nigh two millennia.
