Title: Portrait of Vic
Name: Mark Van Haitsma
Country: USA
Software: 3ds max, Photoshop
Hey all. Here's my latest work. It's a portrait of Vic Rattlehead the "mascot" of Megadeth. I'm a fan of their music and always liked the Rattlehead artwork, so I thought I would recreate a portrait from one of the shirts that I have. I started with a gray render out of Max and did all the textures in a paintover in Photoshop. It was the first time that I painted over a render like this, I had a lot of fun doing it that way. Anywho C&C are welcome.

This is an awsome image. Could use a little more shading in my opinion, the materials seem like they are just color maps and the specular isn't there. But otherwise well executed.

thanks for the comments guys. I agree clodhopper, the specular could be pushed a little more to give it more dimension.
