Wasn’t sure Where to Post this review, so decided this would be the best place.
So I recently purchased a laptop for graduate school. I decided i needed to get a bag that i can fit other things like my camera, and maybe a change of clothes since I will be traveling a lot. After researching for a while I came across an Australian Bag Company called Crumpler.
After reading about the features of these bags I immediately got very excited. Back packs that have a slot for a digital SLR camera plus additional lenses and still enough room to fit a 17 inch laptop. I thought I have to see this for myself and Saturday I went to one of their New York City store locations.
Well after inspecting there largest bag and most expensive ($225 plus tax) I did not hesitate at all to make the purchase even at that price. Here's a List of the great features,
1. Security, The zippers our on your back, not exposed. Making it very hard for someone you don't want getting in to the bag.
2. Extremely well made, although a Made in chine tag is sublimely attached to the bag, everything is double seemed and heavy Duty. Plus the bag is water resistant.
3. Removable laptop pouch (holds up to a 17 inch laptop) with pockets for pens your cell phone, Mp3 player, and whatever else you got.
4. A removable camera case. With reconfigurable dividers and enough room for my Nikon d70 and about7 lenses (depending on size)
5. Very comfortable to wear even with all that weight.
I'm very excited about this bag and highly recommend it. The Model I bought is "The Karachi Outpost" and as I said before their largest and most expensive model. The only real drawbacks are; some may think it’s rather large with all components inside but if you take the Camera bag out its size gets reduced dramatically. Also the price ($225), pretty Damn expensive for a Back Pack, but i would probably spend almost double that for this thing. Hope this helps anyone searching for a laptop bag.
