Well I have a friend who says you're all lying...
You really can't reliably comment on this if you don't have first-hand experience.
A post like "if you're interested and you'd like more information about the working conditions there, you can contact such-and such who's already worked there" would be better, instead of badmouthing them in a public forum.
And what exactly does "treat foreighners (sic) like shit" mean? Did they force him to work under subhuman conditions just because he's not from India, while all the Indian artists where sipping fruity drinks and working 4 hours a day?
Just curious...

I lived in Delhi for 9 months on work assignment. I just got back to Canada last November. I must admit I was a bit apprehensive to go as it was India after all, fairly close to Afghanistan and the troubles of Kashmir, let alone being my first ever trip overseas.
All I can say is India was one of the most friendliest and peaceful places I've ever been to. I felt safer there than in my own country and the people treated me very well. I visited Mumbai (Bombay), Calcutta, Agra, the southern Himalayas & Kathmandu (sp.?), and some of the coastal areas in and around Goa. It's an incredible country and the people are fantastic.
Hugo.m, if you're friend wasn't treated well I'm guessing his attitude probably sucked for starters and/or he wasn't careful in respecting the Indian culture/religions/beliefs which is very important in their society.
Sorry about your buddy but perhaps he wasn't cut out for India.
India is definitely not for everyone and if you go without an open mind or any knowledge of their customs then it will show and you will not have a very good time. If any has an opportunity to visit India I highly recommend it but do your homework first and learn about the country and it's people before you go. I recommend the Lonely Planet travel guide and read Culture Shock: India.
Cheers all!

Well u guys are free to discuss this treatment thing on this thread, but lets not forget why this thread was started, so any of you wanna apply please go on ahead and do so.
I do want to say something though in defense of my country INDIA that is, you will not find a better place with so many different cultures and people. It is truly a wonderful place and the people warm and welcoming.
Though some people do have bad experiences and some do not but I had some bad experiences too when I have gone abroad but thats life isnt it.
But heres wishing all you guys lasting peace dudes, aint that what we need?
