Title: Dinosaur "organic mechanic theme"
Name: Miha Vrhunc
Country: Slovenia
Software: Photoshop

This is my first artwork submitted in CG Gallery.
Made it about a year ago for a
"organic - mechanic" theme contest,
The main character is a Dinosaur , which travels through a blobbery honey looking mass of space/ time, transforming itself into a mechanical robot...

Main idea was to show the contrast between organic prahistoric world and today´s artificial mechanical atmosphere, and how a digital creature can adopt to the environment, that surrounds´s it...

Handmade on a A3 paper sheet with color pencils,
scanned and heavily modified in Photoshop,
worked on it for about a week.

Hope you like it, any comments apreciated :)

I really like it. The metalic part looks really great.

My only suggestion would be for you to change the way that the glow from the transformation looks on the "natural" side. You basically have a beige colored glow and I think that some streaks would help it out greatly.

A very cool drawing though and congrats on your first post.

Great idea neighbour.
I love dinosaurs, so I instantly had to see your image after reading the name, I like the idea much. As roaring23 suggested, you could made better glow effect on the transition from orga to mecha.
But the idea carry's it.

Thank you all for your comments, means a lot to me:)
Yap, now when I look at that glow more critically i really see it could be solved differently, I ended up simulating too many effect there, and it looks a bit strange...

thanks again!
