CGTalk - Oversamples question

Hi, So I have a soft body simulation with a spring and gravity. I found it necessary to turn on oversamples to get the simulation to look/run right. The problem is that Maya 7 will only let me set the oversamples in increments of 5 (0,5,10). I would really like to set it to 3 or 4 to achieve the effect i am going for. Anyone run into this?
