Title: Ray Harryhausen Tribute:Ceratosaurus
Name: Daniel ASkins
Country: China
Software: Bryce, Photoshop, Wings3D

OK well got my first entry in this months hardcore modeling challenge ready. Went pretty quick. I have been modeling a few Theropods latley so this is getting easier. Thsi is my wam up critter.
I did the render here in PMG MEssiah. (again why do we have a forum but it is not a option on the software used column. It does render)

I am trying to get the look of the Harryhausen version here with a bit of an extra kick.

So I dd the backgroudn seperatly in bryce and used a 360 degree render to make an environment map and use it to light the scene. Used a bit of displacemnt mapping on teh dinosaur there. Dino modeled in Wings 3D hill modeled in AC3D. Backgroudn Bryce. Textures Photoshop 5LE.

Harryhausen rules! Great tribute.
Since you were going for the look of his work, the usual crit wouldn't apply (more variety in colors and displacement resolution). I do think the eye and the pose are a little funky, though. He could be lifting a leg to fart here:).
Very good work.

I made a few dino's before and usually use bright colors too. Hey there was beans growing wild in the jurrassic age. :D Supposed to be running in mid stride but did not want to go through everything needed to get decent motion blur plus well Harryhauens stuff did not have it.

Good work he is done well. but I think it looks like he is floating the foot does not seem to have any contact with the rock. but a nice picture keep up the good work.
