View Full Version : NURBs Stitching Question
M_Orlich 02-21-2003, 08:24 AM I'm at a loss here. Please look at the attached image and tell me if there is something very basic that I'm over looking. I'm wondering why it is that when I detach surfaces they render with noticeable seems. I did a stitch edge on this example right after detaching, so nothing was moved. I seem to have this seem problem all over my model. Please help.
Thanks,
M:hmm:

Try to increase the tesselation of the surfaces.
Attribute Editor -> Tesselation

Are you using the same number of spans in the surface direction that will be stiched.
If this is the problem, try to rebuild them with uniform (0 to 1) and the same number of spans in U or V (it depends on the surface orientation).
And also increase the surface tesselation

You can still see a slight bit of the seem, but it is much, much better!
Thank you audim!

And thank you stunndman!
This is exactly what the problem was and you guys saved me from redoing and redoing my CVs and surfaces thinking I didn't make them clean enough, causing massive frustration. I really do appreciate your help!
