This is my second attempt in making a walk cycle. I've been in front of the screen too long looking at the "walk", so it's hard for me to tell whether it looks weird or not. Please comment and critic on this. Thank-you all. :wavey:

Ok, here's an opinion. To me, it seems as if the left leg pops the slightest bit at the far forward and back positions. It's probably because that leg extends completely at the middle position. On the other side, the right leg doesn't seem to extend all the way, as if he wasn't putting all his wieght on that leg. The combo of those two minor things makes him look like he's walking with a slight limp (IMHO). Also, for such a bouncy walk, it might look good if his back arches forward and back a bit more.

Good stuff

Looks great! Looking at the front view I think his weight could shift a bit more from side to side so he really looks like his legs are pushing him along. I'm not sure of the style you're going for but with such a cartoony character you could probably get away with exagerating the overlapping animation on the arms and hands more. Be careful not to make his arms too noodley though. These are pretty small things though. Overall he has a very happy confident pesonality.

Sup D00d,
Nice so far. I totaly dig the exaggeration of the walk, thought the Amplitude of the arms might be a little strong. And maybe add a head bob, two or three frames behind the body's movement.
The only thing i saw that was missing was the lack of secondary movement, like in the head, and the shoulders. The shoulders should drop on the return, and raise on the foreward swing(Just slightly though, its more of an effect on the overall pose, rather then on the arms movement. You do this to get a more natural look in the spine, and not so stiff of a movement.

Looks damn good, the cartoony feel looks very natural on the character. And i get the feeling that he's sort of strutting in a jovial mood (not planetary). Very impressive for your first walky cycle.
