Very clean design but a bit more fussy than the usual apple stuff.

Looks quite nice. The hex pattern reflection in the bottom of the sphere doesnt sit quite right with me. This model would look right at home on http://www.cgsphere.com

the green one is really good, and maybe some more "bright" colors would be cool.
just one thing, maybe the lighter is a little bit too much(think at thi poor child... :D), but its a concept! :D

Hello All!
Thanks for all the kind words and crits. I called it a 'dumb idea' because it didn't seem functional, carrying around a billiard-sized 'Swiss-Army mp3 player', especially after the tiny Nano and Shuffle came out. The fan part (the whole thing really) was an 'homage' to an awesome project, I believe entitled 'SpaceBall', that I saw online and in Expose' 1 or 2. I guess with the built-in speaker (and lighter), you could use it as a travel clock-radio (or take pictures of the hottie in the hotel bed next to you):)

The lighter has it's own 'Ignite' button, far removed from the electronics:).
The volume is controlled by the ring around the speaker, and everything else (camera, fan) will be controlled via scroll wheel and menu.

I can see a projector function added to this. How cool would that be!? A computer-TV-movie-projector all in a handy, portable sphere. If it had an enormous hard drive then you could store downloaded movies and take it to friends, relative and parties everywhere. I'd buy it. Apple has nothing cool in the hardware department right now (the Apple phone thing is only mildly cool). They need this.
