OK i had enough, my brain is gonna blow.
I am using 3ds max, and i am new to compositing i need to do compositing with the output so after doing some search i found lots of techniques used but every one has something bothers me :
1-rpf which is used with combustion,it has many useful features(channels) to do :DOF-motion blur- 3d fog- 3d glow, but you can 't edit a scene as diff,spec,shadow,...etc.
2-Render elements ,you can divide your scene into diff,spec,shadow,...etc, also there is object id and velocity(some of the channels in rpf) but they are not enough you need other channels to complete the effects.
3-Render elements again but using the matte material forobjects you do not want to appear in a certain layer so you end up with layers of the scene, and every layer has diff,spec,shadow,...etc,i think using scene states tool.
can any one have exprience in that field tell me what is the workflow?
not considering rpf support is there any software suitable to what i need?
