Hi forum

AixSponza is pleased to announce that we released a Universal Binary version of our SplineOnSpline plugin today. Furthermore we released a patch for NextLimits Maxwell C4D Plugin. This patch replaces the plugins icons with new ones and adds functionality to C4D that allows for adding tags trough a palette. Both enhances the Maxwell user experience within C4D.

Both can be downloaded for free from our website: http://www.s7067.gridserver.com/index.php?prefs=page__1___lang__en___enum__frame_news___width__700___

There was a problem with the archive. It's fixed now. So if you had problems please reload the file. This is how the tags-palette should look like:

could someone explain quickly how the SplineonSpline plugin works? I'm not quite sure how to get it to work. Are there some examples or scene files available so I can see how to set up the object manager?

I have created a spline and made the plugin a parent and can see the spline grow, but I cannot see how to then make this a sweepnurbs or anything? Any help would be appreciated

Many thanks

Just use SOS where you would normally use a basic spline.

works fine on mac C4D 10.
... but I didnt find out what effect the Variation Scale and Groth Variation has.
Can you explain please.

The variation parameter offsets the splines when using multi-segment source splines.

Have a nice day!

I'm also a bit befuddled by this. I like it but I think I'm missing something, and indeed the ability to grow splines from points on a spline is what I assumed this plugin was for, which I haven't been able to acheive. I can't work it out for the life of me. All I can do is have the spline grow and die which I can do in spline wrap.

Hi rsquires,

This plugin does nothing but replacing one spline by a part of itself interactively. It's possible to use a multi segment spline and to use growth variation on its segments. That's all. But growing other splines from points of one spline can be achieved easily be creating a Xpresso Setup that usees different SOS objects. Nevertheless, if you're after trees and flowers Xfrog or DPInstatTree will be better suited.
