View Full Version : Looking For Tutorials: Fluid Effects
Tom N. 02-20-2003, 10:54 PM I was wondering if anyone has found any fluid effects tuts online? It seems like AW hasn't updated their how-to's in a long time and I can't afford the Fluid Effects DVD right now, but I'd really like to learn it, my school just updated to 4.5 a while ago.
I've played around with fluid effects on my own but nothing too great came out of it. Anyone have any tutorials?

There is a tutorial, I think, in the book Maya 4.5 Savvy, but I haven't seen anything online.

I've found no tuts for it online, but Maya 4.5 savvy does cover it a little, there is about 36 pages of fluid FX how to's, don't do's and why's.
...If anyone from the Gnomon workshop is listening...Alex, ahem, could we expect to see a fluid FX DVD in the near future perhaps?

i did the flud effects tutorials from the manual... and they didn't help me much. in fact, after doing them, i don't see the difference between fluids and particles. but then again, my mind is a bit slow at these things.
that said, at least they're a start. it would indeed be nice to get some fluids tutorials soon since they seem to have so much potential...
