very cute and joyfull image.
as i child i also had a book of differently colored ilustrations. the book was about stories that were "magenta", "brown", "yellow" and so on. i remember back then that i liked it very much. but in that book the ilustrations weren't so monochromatic, only the subject matter had that colored look. but that's your choice of course :)

Great image Matt. I love the material you got (in spanish it´s papel mache, don´t know how to say in english). The style is great, and I love this kind of monochromatic palette. Really lovely image, congratulations.

Excellent work! Will look forward to the published book (let us know will you please?).

(in spanish it´s papel mache, don´t know how to say in english). It's the same in English... we use the same word, "paper mache".

I'm from Spain sorry about my english.
I had the same point of view as mikeldi. I saw it as it was "escayola" (I don't know if it's papel mache?) Very original idea and good 3D art. It's very reallistic.

GOOOd work. Today there's few people with beautiful ideas to do things with digital tools.
This kind of work is what make the difference. Well sorry about my english.
5 stars from me of course.

And why the clouds are white ? *lol* Just kidding...

It's lovely ! Congratulations ! I believe kids will love it.

I also really think the technique you used is very creative and useful to develop the whole project, if one had to deal with traditional materials to make it... it would be a real pain on the neck... *lol*

Congrats once more and my best wishes ! Cya,

what, no photo-realist cars?
what, no z-brushed aliens?
what, no busty babe-droids?

yeah this is "mignon" and "chouette, aussi"

very well done and the whole scene looks like it's made of tissue papier-maché. Lovely, delicate feel. Hopefully, nothing too terrible happens to the nine lives of that loving kitty.

I love it.

If you can elaborate, I am curious about how you map the expressions so perfectly .. It looks very spontaneous and must be close to how I imagine your inspirational sketch looks.

Great stuff- I think the limited colour palette really works well, but what I particularly like is the papier- mache/ handcrafted look you've created, especially on the two characters. The "hand-drawn" element of it is a great help too.
