OK, let me speak first. I made a capture from the trailer, the above is the original quicktime and the below is the work I toggle the brightness and contrast.
Just I don't understand why they wasted the fine details of modeling and didn't enhance the dramatic effect and much more film like in visual. They have a problem. If they go for film, make it like a film, if they go for children, just cell-shade them.

the original footage have much better contrast, it's apple.com screwed it up in the conversion process.

With me every quicktime movie is too bright, except when i play it in another player like bs player the contrast is normal. I think it is a quicktime bug, i posted a thread on this before and heared other people have the same problem.

That actually looks very watchable :) And dickma you can't be seriously judging the quality of the film from a compressed quicktime viewed from a monitor.

No no no, samfisher
I notice about their still capture in publicity are lack of contrast at all. (I just didn't say it out.)
It is not Apple's responsibilty, the film maker should watch out their quality in release. OK, even if that is a flaw in Quicktime HD. Just can they cope with that?

Yes it's a BUG with the gamma setting in Quicktime player..
If I play the clip in Apple Mail, quicktime uses another gamma setting? Wierd..

To be much more fair, Firstly I watched the HD of 480p version in Quicktime player. And I do capture by hitting the print screen button. And I resize it to smaller size for upload. (Because Meshbuilder makes a better capture in quicktime)
It is unavoidable for bias in viewing. Just I am expressing my personal taste, that should be much more contrast and dramatic (a little bit darker) for viewing pleasure, because it is devived from the American Comic that I should expect those characteristics.
Nice trailer  I just noticed at the end scene around 1.42 theres a little black line that pops up under his mouth whilst he talks.. maybe some deformation issue. Still tho its not that noticeable!

Meshbuilder is right, the quicktime player adjusts the gamma, its very annoying, don't preview lighting or rendering tests with it
Movie keeps looking better and better though!

looks great, but I don't have high hopes for the flick. i wish just once they'd adapt some of the original underground hardcore comics and bypass the kiddie stuff.

Was the script written 15 years ago or something? It's quite terrible. Which is a shame cuz aside from the plasticyness of the visuals, it actually looks pretty nice. But every time a character talks.. ugh. How can something look both so neat, and so testicle-stompingly painful? Weird choice, making an action movie for 5 year olds, but what do I know.

Looks great... the style of animation / modeling / lighting they chose for the film are superb.

I'm a little disappointed with the story line. Monsters coming every 3000 years...(cliche), just because it doesn't really fit the ninja turtle universe very well. Or at least the well know universe. But I'm glad you found the HD trailer. It looks pretty damn cool. If I could still fit into my Ninja Turtle pj's I would so wear them on opening night. Nerdle Power!:bounce:
