hi guys,

i've got the following problem with the DOF-effect (cinema V8 xl)

i set up scenes with a DOF-effect. when i render the high-res-pictures (dvd-resolution) everything looks fine, but when i produce the movies, the DOF-effect has the tendency to flicker and/or screws up the outlines of the objects which are only partially effected by the DOF-effect (beginning of the object is in focus, end is out of focus).

i render tifs, which i then put together with qt pro. is that my mistake? should i render movie-files?

I think Per {Mdme Sadie} has a fix for this on his site Cosmic Bear :)

this is limitations of the current version, there is issuewith the outlines, are you using the depth gradients or the camera depth?

as for the flickering, that sounds like your using lens atifacts, which in turn means the flicckering is appropriate as thats what lens artifacts typically do, pending on the lightsource and the type of lens.
