Title: "Victoria Winter" The winter Queen
Name: Erik Ferguso
Country: Norway
Software: Digital Fusion, Lightwave 3D, Photoshop, ZBrush

Here¨s a new illustration. I wanted to make a "cold" image and went for the Winter queen.
Lightwave for basemesh, zbrush for detailng and photoshop for post. I used Fusion for the snow.

I really love this image; there's a story there and it's pulling me in. The one critique I have is that the frost on the window looks more like rippled glass. Aside from that I love the colours, the tone, her expression, and the framing. Nice work.

i like the mood of the peice , it does have something daunting about it a little ,but it also expresses a very strong feeling , she looks lonely and longing for something , i love your color scheme and the lightning , my only crit is that her eyes looks a little weird (maybe you ment it like that ) , anyway great job

Hi guys

Thanks for the comments. The frost on the window was more thought to be moist on the inside. Inside it is warm and moist, outside, cold and dry. But I see what you mean. Noted.

I can see what you mean by the eyes. I actually worked quite a bit to get these right, but was never fully satisfied.

For what it is worth, I love the eyes; the white pupils add to the cold feeling, but at the same time her expression is so forlorn. Brilliant work. I really look forward to seeing your new works and this one hasn't disappointed.

For some reason, it reminds me of Moebius with a pinch of Edward Gorey. It's simple, but it's a little world of its own. I'd love to see more from this world too.

Her eyes and face expression is fascinating, the composition and colors are great! And I like the somehow morbid mood of this image.

Ah, she's freaking me out! nicely done! The image reminded me a bit of that movie with Nicole Kidman and those little kids living in that old house where they can't get in the sunlight... forgot the name of it.. but it had that kind of mood I think.
