Any words about the purpose - just personal stuff or a job? How did you came up with the idea for this? Do you plan to write a little 'Making Of' maybe?

WOW, how did you make those lines on the muscle in zbrush?? ive been trying to do something similar but my lines always look too uniform or blobby. was it with a brush?

very nice work ! But... i don't really know there is a strange effect in the cut part of the head. There is some blur effect. Not sure about that but it gives me a strange feeling. The face looks very sharp but red part is different... like it was savedwith a low quality jpeg. Not sure if you could understant what I try to explain.
But man this is just some details. Idea, composition, realization... are really good.
So very nice !

I was skeptic and asked my boyfriend if it was anatomicly correct, the anatomy was approved by the medstudent :)
Cheers for a nice render!

Nice! Very very nice!
http://forums.cgsociety.org/images/rating/rating_5.gif for also the original concept, it's not very often you get to see medical studies!
Really gruesome! But a great job. Maybe the skin texture looks a tad waxy?

really impressive! even though some of the anatomy is a bit off, it's pretty darn stellar in my book!
cheers!

Thanks to all for your kind words, i`m real glad you liked it, and it`s a real honour to be featured on the front page !!
Thank you all!!!
siouxfire - There`s no exact author of the original, i`ve looked at Maclise Joseph and Jacob, Nicolas Henri
scrimski - They were done for fun, i`m very much interested in anatomy to begin with so... sadly i`m not planning a making of soon.
nicodemus3d - it`s a bit hard to explain, but with zbrush you can do anything basicly ;)
flyingjay - here you go ;)
chillnlikeamug - yes i`m currently employed? why do you ask ?

Thatz a stunning piece of work. The details are so damn cool. Did u use a alpha for those muscle fiber streaks or a deco brush.

humm...
humm ... just curious.
you use front projection mask. (planar projection).
If it's hand painted ( respect, good job ).
If it's ("again") an anatomic paint (from a scan)..... I wish to see something more personal.
Please post your 2d reference .
thanks.

a worthy front page item
I don't usually muck about in the 3D galleries these days, too much generic junk, but this is lovely. I've just read Hannibal Rising by Thomas Harris, and though I don't necessarily think this is the best anatomical image I've ever seen, I think young Hannibal would have appreciated the effort you've put into your work.

Congrats dude! Wonderful image!
The skin texture work is great but for some reason, I find the dissected part's coloring to be a bit too flat? It looks painted and would benefit from a bit more work (depth)?
Just my opinion and still a cool image to glance on.

Fabulous skills you have! I love the way it looks like an anatomical wax, like one sees in the museum, translucent.
There ARE a few anatomical errors; HOWEVER, that doesn't really mean anything--- this is Art, after all!
Just one question--- how long did it take? :")
Try dropping us a QTVR or rotational movie-=> we'd love to see the whole thing!
Heck, its not for training doctors, like *I have to do!
Best regards for your future successes--- you are going places, Cvetomir; if you have an anatomical question, I'd happily answer in private mail...

I think this is a really great piece. Very good texturing, looks like you actually had a live model. Im just wondering what it is that YOUR not happy with. You said that its not the final result you wished for. 5 stars man, great work.
Anthonylightsey
02-01-2007, 01:45 AM
This is one of the best texturing I have ever came across of.
The flesh is so detailed and it has a wet glossy realistic look to it.
The only thing is that everything under the skin looks to be on the same plane
instead of some things risen above others.
I love the striations though.

Hi everyone! I`m real glad you like my work, thanks for the critique it`s appreciated. It`s a honour to be featured in Cgtalk`s gallery!
Djampa and SUDDENDEATH - well i`m pleased but it looked a bit different in my head before starting it. Maybe a bit more lively and realistic but I like the final just as well.
TheCleaner - the likeness is striking :] we have the same taste i suppose
art4med - thanks for the accurate critique, it took me about 4 days to do.
