This question has been asked and not answered in a couple of closed threads. So I'll try once more.
When using springs, they can become stuck in an incorrect position. This tends to happen if you jump around on the timeline (not allowing the simulation to update).
Is there a simple way to reset the springs to their original positions that we're missing?
Then, as a follow on question, I've attempted to back the positions of the group nodes that the springs are driving. But when I perform the bake operation, the springs simple stay in their original positions and vibrate. So how to you bake the springs' positions properly?
