Hey all!

I am having a morphing problem.

My current stack is:

Meshsmooth
Morpher
Physique
Symmetry
editable Poly

here is my problem (check out the attachment)

The heads that are blinking, are for a progessive morph target, which works fine. I made that morph prior to physique.

Now with the current state of my stack as listed above, I took the original head (the one shown all crazy!), and made a clone, and made my adjustments, to make somewhat of a shocked appearance...

I loaded the shocked head into a morpher channel, and I get all of this face break up. Bad acne day...

Can anyone please help. Is it possible to create new morph targets after physiquing?

Thanx,

Giant

Firstly, Morpher goes below Physique. It's easy to fix though, just drag and drop in the stack window.

Secondly, your problem looks like what happens when something causes the verts to be re-numbered. It might have something to do with having Physique in the wrong place, or it might have something to do with still having Symmetry in the stack.

I will try that...

Do you suggest collapsing the Symmetry Mod and then making clones from that.

The morph targets for the blink targets have symmetry on them as well. Shall I kill all Symmetry mods?

thanx again,

To be completely honest I don't know. Symmetry is a new modifier and I am always slightly suspicious of new features in Max, so I haven't yet trusted it enough to leave it in my stack. I am just not willing to risk the hassle of finding out the hard way that it doesn't behave itself when it so easy to avoid the situation altogether :)
