Why is it that the vast majority of WIPs made with Blender are put in here instead of the 'WIP/Critique: 3D Stills' forum?
If you look in the Max or Maya forums they seem to be full of posts about how to use this or that feature with very few if any WIP threads.
I've got a thread going on at blenderartists, and I have gotten some good feedback on my project but I'd like to get some more opinions--especially composition suggestions. I really want to improve and the more c&c I get the better.
It just seems that a WIP in here wouldn't get nearly the traffic that it would get in the 3D stills forum.

I think for some its intimidatiing to post in the WIP forums here, But posting here, in the blender forum does have the benefit of having people who know blender respond to your questions.

Most of my WIPs have blender related questions, or where going to have blender related questions once they where in a more finished state, that's why I post them here most of the time. I was thinking of changing this since the general feedback would be better in this other forum.

That makes perfect sense. I didn't even think to look at it that way.
Thanks guys.

Why not post in both? Generally cross posting is frowned upon but I've seen wips in both the programs sub forum and the wip forum with no issue. In the messiah forum lots of users share their work in just the messiah area. I think seeing a program sub forum grow with new and fun renders and models is great for people checking out the forums to see what the community is up to or what can be done with Blender.
