I want to make a short animation of text being cut in cloth (the sword doesnt need to show)
was just wondering how i would go about doing this; workflow wise, and what tools i should be playing around with. I am kinda new to XSI, and have not really worked with dynamics/cloth much..

if you have xsi 6 advanced you can use the zipper tool in syflex
just create edges that forms your text and animate zipping parameter thats all..

other than that i thik you coul do with animated opacity map to create the illusion of being cut
