Hey everyone, I would like to show you a leader I've made last summer. It was made for the Dutch film festival for highschool students called Take 5. The theme of the festival was James Bond so I decided to create a car that transforms in to a theater instead of a rocket launcher or bulletshield.

It was produced in about five weeks and I've put a lot of time and energy in to this. Making this leader taught me a lot about the many sides of rendering, lighting, camera and visual effects. I'm quite happy with the result because I dont think I could have pushed it more within this time frame.

I would love to hear your opinion because there are always certain aspects that could be improved.

That looks great, Matthijs! Those top lights and the rendering really make the car look great. Beautiful pictures.

On an editing note, I didn't get the feeling that the car was transforming into the theatre, I just got the feeling the car was inside the theatre...

I agree with Jonas on this. A short clip of the projector face on, a flashing panel in the car saying "cinema mode", or some fog to make it easier to track where the projection is coming from would have clarified this. Still, I like the tone and concept. Well done.

Hey guys, thanks for all the nice words, really apreciate it! On the editing note... Its very interesting to hear about the storytelling problem and I agree with you, it should have been more clear that the car becomes the theater. I also like the idea of showing the beamer flashing on and all that.
I don't think Ill be able to change anything due to massive data loss (all I have left is the dvd) but in my next project I'll spend more time on planning. Thanks for your feedback, if anyone else has some critisism about the leader i'd still love to hear it!

Needs more dank parking-lot fog, I want to smell the urine of homeless people. As the people above mentioned, it would also help the projector effect. The lights above the car look a little exact too. If you have a lens flare on the headlights maybe there should be some glow on those too.

I want to smell the urine of homeless people.My personal feeling is the clip will do just fine without that. :)
