I was trying to get the right expression on his face and I never quite did :( I wanted it to look as though he has something to so but he feels somewhat regretful about his chosen occupation. He's reluctant, but he's about to put on his helmet and get the job done.

I did this drawing in Photoshop CS1 in 10 hours+.
I tried a 3 tone color scheme, and I didn't really pull that off either. If there's and advice or criticism I'd love to hear it.

no crits, this actually works really well, the simple tones help balance the painting and I like the helmet / mask design.

I think this is a very successful piece! The only things I'm not quite buying are the eyebrows. Did you look in the mirror or comb around for a reference? I just don't see brows working like that. His helm kicks butt. Overall, a succinct, powerful portrait!

You did an incredible work ! In my opinion there are 2 things you can improve :
- the black eyeliner flattens a little the eyes cause of no lights-reflections on it
- the helmet seems a little 'flat' especially in the forehead area.
