View Full Version : Angle Snap Toggle Macro
MartinDay 01-13-2007, 10:07 PM Hello,
I was about to create first macro script in my life :)
I'd like to have a button (or two) to switch easily between - let's say - 5' and 45' snapping.
so...
What I did... I opened MAXScript Listener then I enabled Macro recorder.
I wanted to grab a script that suppose (in my understanding) appear when changing angle values in the Grid and Snap Settings box but...
nothing appears in the pink window :(
Could you help me with this, please.

i am not sure if i understand correctly but be sure to use "show tool selection" in the menu marcoRecorder of the Listener. Maybe it will output the info needed.
i test it on max 9

I'm trying to do it in MAX 8
"Show tool selections" is checked on but it outputs only:
actionMan.executeAction 0 "40024" -- Snaps: Grid and Snap Settings Toggle
...when I'm opening the dialog box but does not give any output when I'm changing Angle Snapping values :(
If it works in MAX 9 could you give me a favor and paste the script that appears when you are changing those values ?
Thank you
I could be wrong, but I am pretty sure Angle Snap value is not exposed to MAXScript.

OK, maybe you are right. So... Let my ask another way. Is there any possibility to have easy switcher between two different angle snapping values ? (let's say 5' & 45')

None that I know of.
But once again, I could be wrong.
