View Full Version : jsFKIKSetup Error
seasterling 02-20-2003, 04:56 AM I keep getting an error that the selected objects are invalid. No other connections on the joints or controls outside of the skeleton hierarchy. Nothing is locked. The script runs fine on Jason's example scene BTW.
The script seems to get as far as adding the ik and constraints on the ik. Nothing in the script editor other than 1 connections made, 1 connections made, then the error.
Anybody familiar with the script? Jason?

Excuse me for my ignorance, but this script you're refering to; is it available somewhere? I'm currently working on a pretty complex rig, and the topic of the day is to solve the FK/IK problem. I have gone through almost every tutorial I can find, just to get a rig that will improve my animation workflow, but none of them is getting me where I want...

Its on Jason's new Fast Animation Rigs dvd. Not sure if you can get it anywhere else.
BTW, the titles of Jason's dvds in no way communicate how much info is included. Plus the scripts he includes. Awesome stuff.

Jason:
Nevermind. I got it worked out. Seems the wrist joint can't be the last joint in the chain. Added an extra joint below the wrist and everything worked great. :applause:

OK, guessed so. I'll try talk my boss into buying these highly praised, and highly priced DVD's...

Hah!
yeah, I'm pretty crap at titles.. but hey, I just tried to cram as much info as I could in the amount of time given to present.. 1:30 isn't a lot of time when you tend to run your mouth like I do. :)
