Well, just practicing. doubt I'll ever get a finished product out of this guy. I just needed a break from animating, so I figured I'd brush up on modeling 'n stuff. Please please please give me critiques so that I may improve. Especially with the ear and around the eyes... they're bugging me, but I can't figure out exactly why.

Oh, and if you're curious, I used Yossi Jimmy's photos from www.fineart.sk just as a rough guide, and the modeling technique from David Komorowski's modeling tutoial http://www.thehobbitguy.com/Tutorials.html. which I was surprised to find I liked a lot more than the old cylider technique that I'd been using for years.

Fixed up the eyes quite a lot, made the brow not so heavy fixed the ear placement and back of the head shape. Then got rid of the perfect symetry (should I add more asymetry?)

Anyway, I've gotta get back to working on my animation challenge.

I think your iris is a little bit to big for a realistic head, i don't know what you're aiming at. But the iris usually touches only one eyelid.

btw: nice tutorial you linked there.

Upper eyelids are wrong, they need some thickness, the rest is rather good ;)
