I slowly put this guy together today , bit by bit between other projects.
I Wanted to create a something with a gritty, oily, dirty victorian look (brass, copper etc.). This is what came out.

the brass and copper look is well done, the character looks nice, reminds me a bit of Aliens.

Always love your work! This one took me a few looks to really see it though. At first the head looked like some type of shield he/she was holding up with the left arm. As usual awesome lighting and technique.

BRILLIENT ... Amazing. Question: What do you do to get there. The texture, the shine and the colours. I need to know. Other than five star from me!

What do you do to get there. The texture, the shine and the colours.

Just using few custom brushes in PS to get the textures etc. As for the colors, , after the illustration is finished I create an overlay layer and color some areas to give a bit more punch.
