Hi, I'm trying to render sprites, with a transparency on the texture, but no matter what I do it renders the entire square into the sprite without being transparent. Is there something I have to do to make it read the transparent texture?

Anytime I render with hardware it desn't seem to be able to handle a transparency. Whats up?

I seem to remember having a similiar issue and i believe that sprites require an embedded alpha. Meaning its not enough to have an alpha channel the image itself needs a colour and alpha mask on one layer....i think! hope that helps
