Hi guys, i have some question here.

1) Well, let say i model a character and i try to model it with the lowest poly count. then i export it to zbrush and do the detailing process. after that i export the displacement base on the uv set i did ( which is low poly count uv). Then i smooth it in xsi and i plug in the displacement into the material, will the Smooth be affected? Well, i know if i subdivide it, the displacement will go wrong coz the uv not matching.

2) Is it more advisable to smooth or subdivide it? Coz if subdivide it'll be harder to unwrap it.

Anyway, what is the correct work flow? Thanks.

i knew this...the one i want to know is that after i model the mesh in XSI, should i unwrap it first then export to zbrush and detailing, then make the displacement? or export the mesh in xsi to zbrush and detail it. then export bk to xsi and unwrap and then bk to zbrush to create displacement?

model base in xsi...
sculpting in zbrush...
unwrap lowpoly in xsi...
create displacements in z...

most of the time this is my workflow... sometimes the other way...
it depends on how much you deform the basemesh...
