View Full Version : Whats a good resolution to render a frame?
Hello,
I'm looking for some information about what resolution(DPI) to do my batch render at, is 300dpi standard for a DVD or should I go higher?
Thanks

hi MMB
pixel count is all that matters, DPI is used for printing (dot per inch) and is a measure of how many "pixels" make up an inch, it only changes the size it will appear in print. For example, a 900x600 image at 300 dpi will print at 3 inches by 2 inches, the same image at 150 dpi will print at 6 inches by 4 inches, and at 150dpi a 3 inch by 2 inch image only has 450x300 pixels.
the short answer is use any dpi you want, only the pixel count matters.
