View Full Version : isometric views?
nickscapp 02-19-2003, 06:21 PM is it possible to create a true isometric views in studio max? [30/60/90]and if so how do i do it? I have been trying to do a isometric animation in max and then do some overlays in After Effects with some graphic I created and my angles are always off... what should I do?

I thougt that was what "User" view was.
I'm probably wrong.

Yeah, User is an isometric viewport.
If you want the camera-version, make one, and check it's "Orthographic Projection" checkbox. And voilá, there be ye isometricness.

you right, the "user view" is the isometirc view, but I was wondering if there is a way to get an exact 30 degree isometic view?

Well.. rotate the camera 30 degrees down?

You could use a line as a placement helper.
Make a straight line and rotate it 30deg. and then use align to get your camera on the line. check the orientation boxes and pivot boxes and xyz boxes.
