This is a mental ray render of a creature I created for my demo reel in December. I created the base model in Maya and the bumps, textures, and displacement details I created in Zbrush. It's a bit of an iguana, frog, dinosaur mix. The animations by several animators came out very well considering the style of its very unique leg anatomy.

The render looks really good, but I can't even fathom how he would move..
I tried to picture him running across a plain, and giggled..

A lot of the animators made him run like a cheetah with a little bit more of a hop (hoppisaurus). They would launch him with his two big legs and use the smaller legs as landing feet.
