I didn't find anything about this on the search function.

It's easy enough to find visual reference material, but I was hoping to find those one liners, rules, tips, verbal references as a quick checklist when modeling. The type of stuff I'm looking for is:

Head: The head is 5 eyes wide.
Nose: The outside of the nostril lines up with the inner corner of the eye.

If there is a thread like this, please link me to it. If not, please add your tips, verbal references etc.

Mouth: The outer edges of the mouth tend to line up vertical with the pupil of the eyes.
Ears: The bottom of the ear lines up with the bottom of the nose.
Ears: The top of the ear lines up with the brow line.


Correct me if I'm wrong on anything.

These rules of thumb are for adult proportion:
Eyes: Are located halfway vertical on the head
Nose: Halfway between eyes and chin
Mouth: 1/3 down from nose to chin
Chin indention under bottom lip: 2/3 down from nose to chin (1/2 from mouth to chin)
Hairline: 2/3 up between eyes and top of head
In Profile: the head is as wide as it is tall
Front on: the head is 2/3 as wide as it is tall
Iris: fills 1/2 of the width of the eye opening
