View Full Version : Converting a projected 3D texture into something more stable.
Reeder113 01-09-2007, 05:58 PM I've created an eyeball and the actual eye shader is a projected 3D texture. I want the texture to be permanently pasted on the eye. Does anyone know how I can do that?

You could try Texture Baking. Since you didn't provided information about what program you use it's hard to tell how to do so.

Oops, I'm using Maya. Sorry. I think, though, if I parent the node to the eyeball, it will always move with the eye and the projection should stay exactly on target. I'm pretty sure there is a way to convert the projection to a texture file, but I'm not sure how.

In the Hypershade go to Edit - Convert to File Texture. You must select the Shading node and the object for it to work.
