Hi!

Started working on a in game Daredevil character a couple of weeks ago, though i have´nt worked on it for more than 24 hours. Hopefully many of you know that there´s a movie out now based on the Marvel-character Daredevil starring Ben Affleck as the Daredevil, Matt Murdock. So... Heres a tribute to Marvel and Daredevil.

The model is made in Maya 4.5 and the images are only rendered in Software Renderer. And I say again, This is an in game character! Not a high-poly cut-scene modell.

By the way, sorry for making a post for every image. I dont have a homepage to link from.

And now to the texture part... By the way! Some parts of the model doesnt look welded, but it is! I just chose not to soften those normals for a couple of reasons. You´ll see what I´m talking about when the modell is textured.

And now the model is textured and finished, except for the animation of course! The texture on the face is actually a picture of my own face. Couldnt find a good one of Ben Affleck so... The rest of the textures may not look perfect I know, and thats because it´s pictures I took of my leather jacket! I tried to reshape it to fit the model whitch was extreamly hard!
So to finish up, the modell and texturing took about 24 hours to make.

Thanks!

Wow, you havn't gotten many replies, so I'll give ya one. In the last image it looks like daredevil, but I remember his costume being a dark shiny red color, your's looks sortofy green, though I'm slightly color blind and my eyes might not be working corectly today. Is this game you're working on a fan game or a profesional game, if fan game, which engine are you using?

its a dull green :D so you ARE colour blind :D lol... but its definatly not the shiny material I was hopeing to see :D

Yeah, I was expecting the color to be dark, and shiny, almost like he was wet.

But that is the only thing, I like the model.

An in game model can only use lambert as a material or perhaps a shaders thats provided with the engine you´re working on. Blinn or Phong is out of the question when it comes to games.

So you can't make him shine like he is wet?

Have you seen Kakuto Chojin for the Xbox? They look like they are wet in that game.

If you can't do it, then just color him that way to fake it.
