We're located in beautiful (and very snowy at the moment) Brewster, New York.

Wow... I didn't think I would see a professional studio like this ripping off from someone else. on this page

They have a concept, and the two main poses were completely ripped off from Sam Liu...

I guess it isn't that big of a deal since it is just a rough concept sketch, but I still think a studio like that shouldn't have to copy another artist.

Hmmm. While idea theft certainly is not something to take lightly, I think you're finding ill intent where none exists. There certainly are similarities (they're both reasonably well done, for instance), but I'd hardly call that a blatant "rip-off".

I doubt that the other artist has a copyright on all 2 armed, 2 legged humans who like big shoes and stand with poses that are mildly inspired by hip-hop music videos. It stands to reason that those are reasonably common poses to take for a young urban character. I've seen dozens upon dozens of similarly drawn characters in portfolio reviews the last few years. I can almost guarantee you that I can walk over to HR right now and pull out a stack of similarly drawn poses from students and potential candidates.
I don't see a rip off here.

Hey y'all,

We've added a bunch of new content to the "Bass Hole" website. Check it out:

Jerridb: Those are some pretty serious accusations you made in your post, and after looking at the links you provided, I can see some similarities, but I can assure you that we're not in the business of ripping off the artwork of others. All our stuff is our stuff, I assure you.:p
