that's a kicking dragon man. it capture what a chinese dragon is, meaning more of an god than a beast.
i find that the best chinese dragons comes from their cimics, rather than the triditional arts.

I'm not sure about the three toes, I have seen paintings, where they have 5 toes.

I'm making a chinese dragon too, and I gave it 5 toes.

there are two types of chinese dragons. the five toe dragons are suppose to be the ancestors of royalty. they use to think that a special blood runs through the royal line. and that when kings die they reture to their dragon form, the five toe dragon.
and the three to dragon are of a lower pedegree. that's why the five toe dragon can only be use by royalty. just like the colour yellow that only kings a allow to ware.:)

5 toes also give those particular dragons the very important ability of being able to hold a pen to write letters to their friends... :D

That thing is looking great, man! Love the expression and the hair, and his eyes too-- only problem is the skin. Definitely need some good textures for that thing. Are you going to leave the hair a solid color?

Here is the one I'm working on. As you can see, I still have a ton of work to do. But it's coming along.

Box modeled in 3Ds.Max 4.3

I used a Chinese painting as reference. It wasn't one of the real old ones though, it's a modern one.

I'm having a tough time making the hair though. I don't have a hair plugin, so I'm experimenting with poly hair. Any help on this would be great. I haven't been able to find any good pictures of long hair to use. Anybody know of a good site for this?
