No poly restriction at all, hell the more polis, the better!

Untextured?
We encourage people to texture their models, but an untextured entry is ok

Ortho views or posed?
Both are required.

One model or inclusion of a scene/ enviro, other characters?
You may do as many models as you wish. And for the diorama entry, you may do as many characters in a scene as you wish.

Wips?
WIP are required, Please post your wip on your own individual thread.

When is it due?
Wednesday, February 15th 12:00 PM

Coke or Pepsi?
I looove Diet Pepsi, but I like regular coke...

You may do a bust of a model. Medusa would make a incredible bust.

You may bo more than one for the collection or the diorama...

For this one we will stay on model. This rule might change depending on number of requests.

Are you putting a link in the front page? If we do a diorama, the scene must be rendered from the same agle as the film frame? Can we have more than one entry? Can we do a diorama that he didnt make, for example the skeletons fighting the medusa?

The frontpage plug will be up later today. I am currently on vacation (and packing for my trip back home to DC) so I had no chance to do a proper graphic for the plug.

No, you may render the diorama at any angle.
Can we have more than one entry?
You can have as many entries as you wish.

Can we do a diorama that he didnt make, for example the skeletons fighting the medusa?
That sounds like an awesome idea. Go ahead.

oh thats an awesome idea! All sorts of images poped up in my head now. jee willa'kers batman!

I'm sure others are hving this problem with finding reference pics. I have found pics of some models on stands either recreated for people who want to collect them and what not. would this work for modeling? because i'm thinking of useing the pics of the figures from peoples cameras because they hold alot more detail (but i did noticed slight differences in apperance then the ones in the movies) And blend that with the movie one?
Heres what i have for examples of what i have found for some ref pics.

Can we do multiple entries?
one entry for a detailed character and another one for a colection...
or maybe one character alone and a diorama.

btw, this is the coolest topic for a challenge in CGTalk, congratulation!

You can do multiple entries. Just keep in mind the short time.
Good luck.

Do you make new threads for each model or scene or just one for each model or scene. (BTW I agree this is the coolest challenge here to boot)

Hey guys, it's been a while since I've been on here.

Question: Can we change our entry? (example: Say I want to do a creature series and I can only make one creature from the film, could I then change it to single creature?... or inversely I create a single creature (because I'm not sure of the time) and then I realize I have much more time on my hands and usual would I then be able to change it to either the diorama or the creature series?)

Yes you can change tour entry at any time.

Drop me a line if you need any help.
