Title: Encre de Chine
Name: Oscar Favre
Country: France
Software: Painter
Encre de Chine means Chinese Ink in French. It's a painting done for a present. The original size is A3, I had a hard time working with such a big file. I was really happy with the printing because the colors were pretty OK.
Done with Painter and a bit of Photoshop CS for the final tweakings and used of course a photoref.

I really like this piece, it has a nice hand-done feel in the the technique you used to paint it. I love how restrained the brushwork is... almost looks like a gouache color study. very nice!

interesting technique & nice colors.
Some trouble with proportions though.
Girls head is tiny for this body.
Her neck is too thick.
Her knee is too high.Try sitting like this in front of the mirror, you'll see what i'm talking about.
